What subjects and grade levels does Best Private Tutor offer?
Best Private Tutor offers academic support for all grades and all subjects. We will work with the parents and child to find the best matched tutor for skill, experience, and personal learning needs.
What are tutoring rates and payment options for Best Private Tutor?
This is the BEST part of BEST Private Tutor! Our rates are half the price of other tutoring agencies. We offer financially sustainable one-on-one tutoring. Your card is kept in a secure portal where you will also be able to see your child’s lessons. Payment is due the 2nd and 4th Sunday of each month.
What qualifications and experience do Best Private Tutors have?
All Best Private Tutors are skilled in the subject area of need. All our teachers are in the process of or have completed a Bachelor’s degree.
How does Best Private Tutor assess students’ learning needs and progress?
Our Academic Director conducts a collaborative, comprehensive assessment to guide your child towards improved grades and confidence. Additionally, Best Private Tutor provides specific skills assessments and psychological testing for an additional fee.
What is Best Private Tutor’s tutoring approach?
At Best Private Tutor, our tutoring approach is designed to meet your child's unique learning support needs. We begin by listening attentively, collaboratively devising a personalized plan, ensuring the right match for academic support, and closely monitoring progress as we move forward.
Are the tutoring sessions at Best Private Tutor one-on-one or in a group setting?
Best Private Tutor only offers one-on-one tutoring at this time, but small group lessons for ACT/SAT Prep, executive functions, memory, attention, training, memory training, and, emotional regulation will be available next summer.
Does Best Private Tutor offer flexible scheduling for tutoring sessions?
This is another BEST thing about BEST Private Tutoring! Each child can be attending their academic support lesson while you’re at home or running errands. We find many of our students like to begin their day with their lessons and we offer tutoring as late as 9pm MST.
How does Best Private Tutor handle students with learning disabilities or special needs?
Students with special needs are welcome. Our Academic Director has 30 years of experience in Education, Psychology and Learning and directs all academic support. As long as your child can interact with online learning, we can do the rest. We do not, at this time, provide specialty reading programs such as Lindamood Bell, Barton, Wilson, or Orton Gillingham. This is a passion for Best Private Tutor and will begin again soon.
Can you help prepare students for standardized tests or exams?
We can generally prepare students for strong skills, however, our small group instruction for ACT/SAT prep begins next summer.
What is your policy for missed or rescheduled tutoring lessons?
Best Private Tutor asks families to alert us 24 hours in advance of missing their lesson, otherwise there will be a charge. We always prefer to offer a make up session and we can do that as long as notice is within 24 hours.
